Didn’t realize “Chance me” had it’s own thread; time to try it out.
Looking towards: Here is the list so far: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UCLA, Cal Poly SLO, UCSB, San Diego State, UC Santa Cruz, UCB, UC Riverside, and USC
Also if any of you can suggest schools to me that are within California and have a good premed -> med-school transfer rate, I’d much appreciate it.

Thanks to all who reply. Done some research as well, willing to chance back (just post CC link).
If you get that 33 or 34, everything becomes slightly easier (example: UCSB and UCSC should be safeties). Don’t apply to an impacted major. I apologize if you already know, but USC is not in the UC system, and straight up cost there is 60k+ regardless of state. If you did know that, look at Reed College and University of Washington. They’re not in California, but they still have that vibe and would be good additions. If you are willing to look at liberal arts colleges, Pitzer College would be a nice option. Check out Occidental as a low match as well.
I came across the director of Santa Barbara Street Medicine (Doctors without walls) at a sendoff party for a UCSB grad heading off the study medicine in Maryland with the Navy. She said their volunteer program has a 100% medical school acceptance rate. If you end up at UCSB keep it in mind. http://santabarbarastreetmedicine.org/ Good luck this year!
