Chance me? CALS

hey guys hope you are all doing great today.
I just finished my application for the fall 2012 transfer.
Im a Hispanic student attending Suffolk CC, obviously a NY resident if that matters, applying to CALS under the AEM major.

my stats are:
High School
GPA: 3.2 in at top highschool
AP courses: Spanish 5, Microeconomics 4, Physics B 3, Government and Politics 3.
Extracurricular: not many, I was just a member of several honors societies such as Mu Alpha Theta and Spanish honors society
SAT: Not required

College
GPA: currently a 3.74 ( should get it to a 3.9 when the spring semester is over)
Courses:
Fall 2011
Macroeconomics* A
Statistics A
Accounting 101 B
Business Computing A
Freshman Composition A
Freshman Seminar *B+ (professors was a *
* lol)

Spring
Calculus
Accounting
Public Speaking

Extracurricular: I'm a current member of PKT and Alpha Betta Gamma ( international business honors society).
Work Experience: I'm a Supervisor at a warehouse. I also work with a CPA doing taxes and payroll.

I also help people in my community by giving them important information regarding taxes and every now an then I volunteer at my local library giving people English lessons.

My essay is about my work experience as an accountant and how I have progressed since coming to this country.

What do you guys think?

Probably not very good because AEM is fairly selective and you are applying from a CC without GT. I don’t know how much being URM is going to help you. Still give it a shot though.

Thanks Colene! I thought I had a chance looking at other applicants getting admitted with a lower GPA. anyways I kinda regret having paid those $75 :/. oh well hopefully this year the transfer class for AEM wont be as competitive.
