You should know that there is no CALS undecided. CALS is very much based on majors and "fit" for that major, and as such, one of the biggest criteria for admission is how your EC's have shaped what you want to major in. I got a guaranteed sophomore transfer with a relatively low GPA and the same SAT as you did, but my EC's were VERY relevant to my major.

Your grades are definitely there, and your ACT is high enough, but you need to be able to show excitement/EC's for your intended major. If you can do that, plus applying ED, will give you some great chances.

I do not understand this "chance you back" favor. I have seen it a few times. If you had the insight of chancing someone, why couldn't you do it for yourself. The only people who could even chance anyone is students that have already been accepted or rejected with similar stat. If you are getting feedback from people that are still in high school, discount it.

I just graduate from CU and I believe your chances look very good. You do, I believe, need to declare a major before you enter CU. I also think CALS is rolling admissions...
