Been published in a photograpghy magazine three times.
Well what do you think?

I hate the fact that colleges go off of standardized test, I'm a good student but I'm just bad at standardized tests...

Anyone please?
Lets say I got my SAT scores up to 600,600,550; how would that stack up for NYU give my EC"s?

Binghamton is a reach right now. It's application pool has significantly increased due to the economic crisis, and it has gotten much more competitive. Bring those SATs up as much as you can!!

What do you think about Stony Brook?

Also do you think it would be a bad idea to apply early action to Binghamton? Or do you think with my numbers I should wait?

You have a decent shot at Stony Brook, but getting to around a 1200/1600 puts you in a better position to being accepted.

At most schools, Early Action doesn't give the applicant a boost in admissions, so if I were you, I'd wait it out, study for the SAT, and bring up your scores.

Good luck!

OMG i hate college already lol.

Do you guys think Stony Brook is in the 'bag'?

I wouldn't say "in the bag", but I'd be surprised if you didn't get in.

Trust me. I'm also a terrible test-taker. Check out my scores (and chance me while you're at it! thx!) : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/595620-my-terrible-test-scores-what-my-chances.html But, I'd say write a pretty darn good essay and Boston U will be a match. Others...I'm not very familiar with. I'll let others chance that. Good luck!

Hmm any other takers? I'm so nervous....

those SAT scores are best out of 3 times? definitely don't retake. taking the SAT 4 times is not good..... you might as well put it down as an EC if you take it 4 times.

but given that

SUNY Stony Brook - match
SUNY Binghamton - reach
NYU - reach

How much of a reach in NYU?
LOL.... like jumping across the grand canyon?

Far reach or not so far?
