I know I don't get the best grades in math and science, considering I applied ECE, but whatever. Rigorous classes, right?

EC's: Volunteered for 70 hours at elderly home and hospital combined
3 years of indoor track
4 years of outdoor track - captain senior year
Peer tutoring in Latin
Clubs:
Medical Interest Association
Model United Nations
Future Business Leaders of America
Latin Club
National Honor Society

Reccomendations: I read all 3, they were great. One was my chem teacher, another was my track coach, and the last was my Latin teacher who I had all 4 years. Described me as hard working and dedicated.

Essay: I think my essay was well thought out, I talked about my evolution from a lazy freshman who didn't want to do work to a hard working kid in my later years because of the work I put into track and the encouragement from my coach who really pushed me.

So, final chances. Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie. My brother is currently going there if that matters at all.

I think it might be a bit of a challenge/reach for you to get into Carnegie Mellon. That is a very prestigious school especially if you’re majoring in Computer and Electrical Engineering. I think some of your grades could have used some work. It’s true that they are hard courses, but A’s in hard courses would look even better. SAT is pretty good and subject tests are solid. EC look fine, maybe a few little tweaks here and there. Big note, If I had known you before today, I would have advised you to WAIVE the right to read the letters. When you check that you want to read the letters, it might make colleges feel that the teacher only wrote outstanding reviews because they didn’t want to offend you. No use crying over spilt milk though. The fact that your brother goes to Carnegie is huge. It will improve your chances greatly. Good luck, and chance me back?

Thanks, thekillers, i’ll chance you. could anyone else please chance? does having a brother who goes there really matter?
