<p>haha sorry guys. In the title of the thread i had originally capitalized "Cas," but to make it clear now, I'm applying the Penn Arts and Sciences, not Wharton. So I won't be going through a backdoor of some sorts. In addition, I'm not jewish or Chinese, but Korean. So the China thing is legit.</p>

<p>Anyone else have an opinion on my chances? Anything would help.</p>

<p>Hi. i was wondering what you guys thought my chances were of getting into Penn. I'm an African American student that lives in West Philadelphia. I go to the 53rd ranked public school in the country (Masterman). I have a 3.85 GPA. 1980 SAT Score (630M, 680V, 670W). I received a 670 on the SATII BIOM and a 570 on the Physics SATII. I also had a 4.0 GPA at a Dual Enrollment BIology Course at Community College of Philadelphia. I have all honors/AP's (AP Calc BC,AP Phisics: C, Honors Social science:Government/Economics,Honors English, Honors African American History, and Honors Biology) I have alot of extra-curriculars, community service, etc. Strong recommendations and really good essays. I was also accepted into a science internship at Thomas Jefferson University. I will be researchin viral genetics and embryology. I'm trying to get into the College of Arts and Sciences. i want to major in biology (with a concentration in pre-med) Do you think I can get in?</p>

which school in penn is the hardest to get into out of cas, wharton, and engineering?</p>

<p>and for misterr, i think you have quite solid scores and even better ecs.. i gotta say, you got a real good chance for cas..</p>

<p>it's VERY hard to transfer between schools once you're in one school. i read in some other threads that you have to have something close to a 4.0 to even be considered</p>

<p>very good chance of getting accepted. I am applying straight into Wharton. As long as you are involved in extra-curriculars, I really don't think the disadvantage as being asian is as severe. Good luck with backdooring if you want to. =) By the way. Can anyone answer this question, what is the difference with between "A UPenn Student and taking classes at Wharton" and "A Wharton Student and taking classes at Wharton." Does it look better on your resume?</p>
