<p>Hey i am looking for honest comments on my college admission possibilities. I am from New York and have a near 90 gpa. My SAT scores weren't so great and will hopefully go up but so far they are 500 CR 650 Math 620 Writing. i have a 0 EFC ! my race is asian (indian) and i am a first generation college student. i am really active in school and used to be in cross country, photography and am founder of high school newspaper which is still in progress. My college choices are... </p>

<p>If you’re from NY, I’d look at colleges in NY that could offer additional aid based on your state of residence. I think City College, Brooklyn College, and NYU Poly do that.</p>

<p>I think you sound like a really good student, and the only thing holding you back might be your SAT scores. Which you should consider retaking.</p>

<p>Also, what do you want to major in? Poly, for instance, is exclusively engineering, whereas Syracuse and NYU are more artsy/businessy.</p>

<p>Basically work on your SAT. I think some of the colleges you listed will give you more money based on how good your SAT score is (e.g. St. John’s) Good luck :)</p>
