CHAPMAN EARLY DECISION
Quick background:i’m a senior now, I am an indian/white mix, and come from a privileged suburb. I believe chapman is need blind but I don’t qualify for/need financial aid. I go to a fairly small public high school in urban wisconsin, very very few kids have gone to chapman, if any. My school offers very few ap classes and no honors, also doesn’t rank. I have taken the most rigorous cirriculum my school offers besides not taking ap english (we have much more interesting english classes) Only Ap I took junior year was stats which I took alongside pre calc (got an A). My senior schedule includes ap calc, apes, ap french, political theory (weighted course), sociology, creative writing and comp for college.
GPA 3.8 (weighted but only one ap class) My GPA has a very significant upward trend. 3.45ish first semester of freshman year to above a 4.0 second semester, 27 ACT which i’m not thrilled with but I haven’t been able to get it up. I did get a 33 on reading.

as for demonstrated interest I did tour there and then later went back and met with an admissions officer which went well, I am planning on sending a simple hand written thank you note
I think my personal statement is really good and I have gotten a lot of feedback, chapman specific ones are looking good too.
thanks:))))
Your stats are similar to my daughter who just started at Chapman as a business major. They stated at convocation that this year’s freshman class has a 3.8 gpa. It may be a little harder to get into Dodge.
I just started at Chapman and got in with around the same GPA as you with a 10k scholarship and didn’t even apply early decision, applied early action. I think you have a pretty good chance. Good luck
