Great teacher recs

Other than your SAT scores, your stats look great. A 1410 (They don’t count writing) is in the 25th percentile, so 75% of U of C students scored better than you did. I would highly recommend re-taking the SAT or taking the ACT to increase your chances. If you can do that you are golden.

I’m only saying this with your best interests. Good Luck!

subject scores just in:

690 US history; 700 math level 1; 720 literature

*do they care a lot that I took math level 1 rather than level 2?

Polyosophy, I checked it out and my CR and M scores are much higher than 25th percentile… I hope that’s correct, because I’m not planning on retaking.

You have a good shot. Really good EC’s. I see a lot of people on CC who are managers or assistant managers. How the heck does that happen? I know if I went somewhere and applied to be an assistant manager I would get laughed at :D. Did a family friend hook you up?

It’s a very small department. I started working there not as asst mgr but was promoted after a year. I was originally hooked up by a friend. Though the title is nice it doesn’t likely resemble a real asst mgr position elsewhere: I clean stuff and make sure two other kids clean stuff :)

what do you really think you could do more to have higher chances than anyone else? lol.

A few things don’t add up. How did the AP US History Student of the Year get a 690 on the SAT II and a 4 on the AP? This leads me to believe that either: 1) Your school is not competitive at all or 2) Your grades are inflated.

Your chances are fine, but this got me wondering.

“Pacific Northwest Ski Association Honor Role (2009)”

hopefully you spelled “roll” right on your app!!

Well my school’s not that competitive. We send maybe one (occasionally two) to an Ivy each year.

And as for the test scores, I’m not much of a test taker. I think my teacher gave me the award more for my passion for history and my insight in classwork rather than my ability to perform under pressure.

And yes trackgirl sadly I did spell “roll” wrong. Hopefully that won’t kill me. C’est la vie!
