Hey guys I am an international student with high needs. My expected family contribution is only $5000. When I contacted the university they told me even though they are need-aware, It won’t have a huge impact.
Anyway due to my dad’s job I had the opportunity to complete my HS in the US. Now I am currently on a gap year and in India. When I contacted Colgate University they told me that my application will be reviewed by the NY Admissions counselor (which is good I think )
In NY for some reason, GPA is calculated out of 100.
I have an unweighted GPA of 90.14 and a weighted 91.7.
I have taken 7 ap’s: AP Calc AB, AP Lang, AP Phy 1, AP Calc BC, AP Phy 2, AP Chem, and AP CS. Due to my visa complications, I was not able to take any of the ap exams.
I have above the 90s on all of the classes except the AP Phy 2- 86 and AP Calc - 87.
MY EC’s
President of the Asian Culture Club ( 9th - 12th)
Captain of badminton team (9th- 10th)
Member of the American football team ( 11th-12th)
Member of the Wrestling team (11th - 12th)
Member of the Math Club (10th -12th)
Member of the Robotics Club(11th - 12th)
What do you guys think?
