<p>Columbia has been my dream school for the past two years. I visited the campus just last week and know for sure that it's the school for me. I'm considering applying ED since it's my first choice but I'm not sure if it's there's any statistical advantage (or disadvantage) in doing so. Any advice would be appreciated.</p>

Summer internship at a vet clinic
Shadowed nurses and doctors in local hospitals and clinics. I'm not sure of the hours right now but I think it would be around 100.
Summer/winter/spring break job as a kennel tech at a vet clinic
Precollege program at Rice U
Probably around 400 hours of community service, if not more. Most of it was with Interact and NHS. I was also a peer facilitator (counselor) at a summer camp for troubled kids in my county two summers in a row.</p>
<p>I'm pretty confident that I can get 3-4 really great recommendation letters.</p>
<p>I'm also going to apply to Yale, Stanford, Harvard, BU, UT-Austin, NYU, Georgetown, and Rice. Chance me for those as well, if you please.</p>
