Chance Me - Community College Transfer Student

Hello everyone,

I am anticipating on graduating this spring (at community college in-state) and use mass transfer to apply to UMass Boston, UMass Lowell, and UMass Amherst for fall 2019. I got accepted into UMass Lowell already with my 1st program of choice and honors. However, I am eyeing for Isenberg at UMass Amherst. I heard that Mass transfer only promises us into the university but not into Isenberg. What are my chances on getting in and honors (not getting honors isn’t a deal breaker)

You’ll have your full associates degree? Perfect. I think you have a good shot at Isenberg. I really do think you’ll get in.

Did Lowell give you any merit aid?

No sadly I did not for UMass Lowell and I just got my acceptance into UMass Boston. Waiting to see if I get anything. But I heard that most “aid” are given to OOS freshmen students over in-state transfer students. I can be wrong.
