Founder of Computer Science Club, Created my own app and website, I know Java, Swift, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Interned as a web designer for a company, 250 Hours Tutoring for Study Buddy, Performed Research Project on Cancer treatments, Mu Alpha Theta, Guitar

Essays:
Common App: Basically told a story about how I fell in love with programming and how I taught myself how to code

Cornell Essay: I talked about my interest in entrepreneurship and programming and how Cornell will help me pursue my passion in technology and create a business in the future.

Rec Letters: Couldn’t read them but they were really good according to my guidance counselor. I also knew the teachers very well and they liked me a lot. One was from my CS teacher and the other was from my Chemistry teacher.

Interview: I had an alumnus interview sometime in January. I think it went very well. He only asked one or two questions and the rest of the time we just talked about Cornell and his experiences there.

You look like a solid match, but of course Cornell rejects matches all the time. Overall you’re a great applicant and based on your description it sounds like you have drive and initiative. You will end up at a great school no matter what.

If you’re looking for brutal honesty I can also find negatives in your stats, but you have a very strong profile.

Thanks @DryMango. I know college is pretty random but I’ve been waitlisted and rejected at some schools (UIUC, UMich, UCLA) which was making me kind of nervous
