Hey guys!

I've fell in love with Holy Cross' campus and their approach in education. I've visited them twice and planning on doing an interview. I am still confused on if I have even a chance of acceptance to Holy Cross.

Here are some info about my workload:

SATs: 1800> they were so low, not planning on submitting them. I have been prepping everyday, hopefully they will go up by October

-NHS Tutoring Director
-2 internships at a hospital
-volunteer at local animal shelter, local supply organization, and hospital (over 100+ hours)
-captain of a computer science program

I don't know if this will help with the decision process:
-low income, single mom household, first generation, and English wasn't my first language (I'm Asian)

My coursework does show that I've been challenging myself (taking academic risks). I will be taking calculus II senior year which only consists of 8 people.

Thank you in an advance! :)

Everything you’ve put sounds pretty good. I didn’t submit my SAT/ACT since mine were low. I was ranked 19/180 and had a 3.98 cumulative gpa. If you aren’t sending in your scores you probably would need to have a pretty high GPA and at least be in the top 20% of your class. Also, work a lot on the supplement they’ll give you and visit if you get the chance. When I visited the admissions officer emphasized the interview and its importance so very much prepare for that.

For the interview dress business casual and ill just copy and paste what I put on another interview post for Holy Cross.

Hey I did an interview with Holy Cross and was admitted in March. My interview lasted about an hour and I prepared with these questions:

Tell me about yourself.
Why are you interested in Holy Cross? (spent awhile on this)
What will you contribute to the college?

Prepare questions for the interviewer and I’d recommend using these links:

Kind of just read the question and bullet point ideas of what to say, not necessarily memorizing answers. The interview I had was a casual conversation outside a Starbucks. I had an easy time since my interviewer and I are both concert junkies and connected easily.

If you have any questions about Holy Cross message me.
