<p>I am going to be a senior this year and I'm really interested Cornell. Please chance me for both ED and RD, if you can. </p>

<p>However, by no stretch of the imagination am I the strongest candidate, but I do not fully understand what my chances are and need some guidance.</p>

GPA- 3.61 (unweighted)/ 3.67 (weighted)
SAT II: math2 (730) math 1 (700), bio (730), chem (700)
Are there any SAT 2s I should take in particular??
AP History- 4
AP US- 3
Ap English-3
SAT: math (800) writing (670) reading (730)-2200
I will be taking 7 APs this year</p>

Varsity Track (9,10,11,12)</p>

<p>ECS (in order of importance, and I plan to get some leadership positions my senior year)
Indian Cultural Club- (10) treasurer(11), President(12)

<p>Work History
Research at a university
Work with NASA to make a spacesuit (program at NYU)</p>

<p>Volunteer Service
Summer 09-volunteered at Rehab Center in a Hospital for 60 hours
Tutored for 15 hours at elementary school
Helped community programs for 8 hours</p>

<p>Can anyone who has been there or has just been accepted please chance me ☺ and could you tell me how important are the common app essay, and the interview in the decision process.

You can see how your stats compare to those of the Fall 2009 entering class in sections C9 and C10 (Cornell doesn’t supply data for C11 and C12).</p>

<p>Sections C9 & C10 may be somewhat misleading as they apply to a university aggregate, whereas applicants apply only to a particular college of the university, not an aggregate, and each college has its own applicant pool and criteria. Stats by college are available in the institutional research webpages.</p>

<p>ECs are really weak. That will hurt. But your scores are good, so you probably have a fair shot.</p>
