Chance me Cornell Engineering

I know that Cornell is a highly selective college, but of course I still want to apply.
I got a 2220 on my SAT 770 Cr 780 Math and 670 Writing.
I don’t participate much in school because of family obligations.
I do hold a job, participate in my youth at my church, and volunteer.
I got accepted to NJGSS and will be going.
I scored the highest in my county on the MERCK testing in the integrated portion.
I am ranked in the top 2% of my school.
I know I will have great recommendation letters based on what I received from my teachers for NJGSS.
I have received Gold and silver medals for various Russian competitions (spoken Russian and essays)
I have been taking almost every AP course offered in my class. I took honors physics and ended with 99 avg. while most others struggled for an A. I finished honors precalc with a 98 avg. Next year i will be taking AP bio AP physics AP Calc AP Lit & Russian 4. I wont be taking a lunch because of how many classes I am taking.
I just want to know if my application is even strong enough to warrant me to apply to Cornell

If you are a female you have an excellent chance for admission. If a male you still have at least an average chance

DS had very similar stats (including skipping lunch for more classes  ) but his extra classes were in music; our school doesn’t offer as many advanced science classes as it appears yours does. His CR was quite a bit lower (680? I don’t remember), though he did have more ECs. He got in RD. You definitely have a chance, so apply.

Thanks for all the information  Wish i could do more ECs but i work 20 hours a week and it starts about half an hour after school so i have no time for clubs.

Working 20 hours a week is good for your application, so don’t fret about that! It shows initiative and a good work ethic. And that you’re able to get your good grades even with 20 hours a week on other things. That is, there is a lot of margin for you to continue your academic success even in a rigorous university program.

Cornell only does 1600 scale for Engineering, so your score is AWESOME! 1550/1600. Thats equivalent to a 2325/2400. Good GPA. More ECs would have helped. However, the chance is good, especially if you apply ED. I’d say 70%. So DEFINITELY APPLY
