Assuming that my essay's and letters of recommendation are okay, are some of the top tier schools listed above out of the picture? Or are some of them good fits? Thanks so much for taking your time to do this!

URM, great scores, you should be fine for most.

Your essays NEED to be great, not okay. Lol.

Excellent chance at all. Focus your application- don’t tell them they are the best school, but tell them that a specific program is your passion. CONSIDER University OF Pennsylvania- EXCELLENT ENGINGINNERING AND MATERIALS SCIENCES especially if you want to do first rate undergrad research. Huge amount of research money, outstanding profs- check their education and awards in field, large new lab facilities. Professors have outstanding education and many awards so are well connected in the field- this is great if you apply for grad school because they are well known.

Thanks for the feedback itisallforgotten. I’m currently in the process of submitting REA to Princeton. I’m applying to 15 schools and UPenn wasn’t one of them. I’ll give it more consideration. Btw: I’m going to be applying as a mechanical engineering major.

It seems to me that, although you have participated in many extracurriculars, it’s quality over quantity that matters the most. I know that it’s good that you have an interest in many clubs, but I’m not sure whether that will come as a disadvantage to the schools you’re applying to or not. Colleges would want to see a student to be dedicated to a small number of clubs (say 1-3) rather than a student who participates in many, many clubs that they are not dedicated to.

im Hispanic too!
you have a phenomenal application in my opinion and you should be very proud of all your accomplishments no matter what. I think these schools are attainable to you if you put your heart into the essays and really try your best. you seem well rounded and definitely very intelligent. best of luck!
chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1572735-chance-me-ed-cornell-please-ill-chance-back-3.html#post16539055</a></p>

You cannot apply to both Cambridge and Oxford, pick one.

You have very good chances , good SAT scores as well as you are from an URM.

The UCs - All Matches
Cal Poly SLO - Match
USC - Safety, i assume? I’m not too familiar with the school
Stanford - Reach
California Institute of Technology - Low Reach
Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Reach
Cornell - Low Reach
Columbia - Reach
Princeton - High Reach
Carnegie Mellon - Match/Low Reach

Oxbridge: You can only apply to one, and you must choose a major right off the bat. Uhm. I think that these both will be very high-reaches for you; more than HYPS. Oxbridge is highly, highly academic. They don’t really care about personal statements or ECs. All that really matters will be your grades, the interview you get and the Entrance Exams (HAT, TSA, etc.) you write. I think that your SATs need to be higher to have a decent shot. Oxford requires a minimum of 700 in each category, I believe, to be considered. And to be competitive it needs to be quite a bit higher than 700 in each category. This is just my input, and opinion based on what I’ve seen first hand, but there are fluke cases definitely. Some people who are basically guaranteed in the UK don’t get in and other get in on the off chance. It sometimes is more unpredictable than Ivy Leagues.

Please chance me for UPenn, and others? Thanks. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1572861-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

You will get into all those schools if you increase SATs scores a bit more because your ECs is pretty tank.
