<p>I am a rising Junior at a high school ranked 9th in state, I'm looking to go into Computer Science, but I also have a love for art, graphic design, etc. I haven't done too much shopping around for colleges, but I really like Cornell, Brown, Berkeley, Carleton College, Northwestern/UChicago. </p>

<p>Why is your GPA so high but your class rank so low?</p>

<p>The84thline, There are still a lot of kids with 4.0’s - that should change, though, because I received A’s in both semesters of APUSH, which is one of the harder courses at my school. Personally, I find class rank rather perplexing.</p>

<p>What are your standardized test scores? SAT? ACT? SATII?</p>

<p>The84thline, I haven’t taken them yet, I’m prepping for them though. My PLAN test that I took in the fall put me around 28 ACT (without prep/proper sleep), so I think I could score much higher than that. I’ll probably take the ACT this winter.</p>

<p>You’ll need to do well on the ACT… and perhaps put an art portfolio together…</p>

<p>The84thline, would that help with admissions to the schools I am interested in? Would they even look at them? Its not really associated to my major…</p>
