I'm applying to NYU CAS Early Decision I for Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. I want to double major. Also, have really strong essays and letters of rec. Do I have a chance???? Thanks!!!

I’m a freshman at NYU- and you definitely have a really strong application. Your ACT is higher than your SAT comparatively, but that’s the lowest part of your application.
My ACT was a 29 and my SAT was a 2010- and those are considered about equivalent, so your ACT is really pretty average for NYU- but definitely try to bump it up if you can.

Good luck!

Test scores are a little on the low side, from my experience but you have a solid resume and AP repertoire. I’d aim for a 30 on the ACT if possible.

Other than that, I’d say your chances are pretty good.
