I would say your borderline. Your best bet is to look up the GEs of each college and find which fits your major best or the one with the least amount of GEs. (Muir?)

Location - go look at the campus map
Food - personal opinion, but there’s nothing stopping you from eating at a different dining hall every meal (unless the idea of a 15-minute walk terrifies you)
Environment - personal opinion again

Everything else - look at the archives. It’s a heavily-discussed issue. But truth is, there’s no “best” college nor “worst” college. All six colleges graduate happy UCSD students who go on to do anything they want. As for the opinions you’ll hear on the forum, the current students are usually biased toward their own college.

Yes, bad word choice, my apologies King. I meant that despite the “horrid terrors” of Revelle’s GEs, they really aren’t that bad since you AP out of a good portion of them, except for the HUM series, which I imagine hbunnyfan would enjoy. All the colleges are great, but would I be right to say that each college has breadth with emphasizes on different subjects? Thus, you want to choose accordingly to that.

i’d say muir and marshall have the best food
as for environment, muirs biggest and most convenient while warrens pretty quiet but closest to out-of-pocket fast food restaurants
if you cant stand wilderness-like isolated area, u shud put 6th as the last
im in warren btw :)

Loctation- Marshall, Muir, and Warren all have excellent locations. I’d say the best one is Muir.
Food- Muir and Marshall have the best food. I heard Revelle and Sixth have the worst, but I haven’t been there. Personally, I hate Cafe V, but some people really like it. I haven’t been to Canyon Vista (Warren’s hall) and haven’t heard much about it.
Environment- to me, ERC has the best environment. It’s by far the prettiest college with the nicest housing, and in my experience, people here tend to be more social and friendly. Of course, I’m an ERC student, so my experience is limited to ERC.

If you want to be a lit major and don’t really like math, I’d say stay away from Revelle and Warren. Otherwise, I think any of the colleges is a good fit.

Thanks everyone! And yea, actually I ranked in this order: Muir, Marshall, ERC, Sixth, Warren, Revelle (based off of all the factors but mainly GEs, food/location, and dorms.) One of my friends from sixth said that if I want to major in English/Lit then I might want to consider putting ERC first?

And pick the college with the GEs you want to take. If you plan to be an English/Lit major, chances are you will enjoy the strenuous writing sequence of Roosevelt. But don’t pick a college because the GEs match up with your major (since there’s a good chance you will change it). Find out about the writing sequences of each college as well as the other Gen. ed. requirements. I personally am most interested in Revelle’s HUM, but I definitely do not want 24 quarters of GEs.

Oh I guess so XD… yea I took a look at the GEs too. Same as you, I think Revelle’s HUM would be interesting except I don’t like the housing/location, and people have been telling me Revelle is more for sciencey majors. (I hate science, sadly)
