<p>Emory is one of my top choices. However, my parents says I shouldn't apply because of the price...the only school they will help me pay for is Cornell AEM if out of state. Is Emory a match for me though? How is the financial aid?</p>

<p>I think you’ll get in. I hear the financial aid isn’t “that” good, but Emory is one of the richest schools…</p>

<p>I think you have a great shot if you visit and show some interest.
Their financial aid is very nice if you are under 100k, which eliminates almost all unsubsidized loans under the Emory Advantage plan. My parents made around 90k combined and with an EFC of ~14k, my tuition for Emory is around 17k with however many grants/scholarships, 2k in subsidized Stafford loan and 2k in work study.</p>

<p>Applying to your first choice is an extremely good idea. Even though you may not think you can afford it, still pay the marginal 50 bucks (I think) and apply. It doesn’t hurt to try you luck.</p>
