basically

in state, 3.7 GPA, 32 ACT, from a big feeder school

my GPA is kind of low because of a 3.4 sophomore year; however, this is mainly because of an unexpected death of someone really close to me and my counselor will explain that in her letter. I have a 3.83 freshman & junior years and I expect to get straight A's first semester senior year year. 6 APs total, 4's and 5's on all tests so far

i expect my essays will be pretty good, i have pretty good extracurriculars (editor-in-chief and co-founder of school newspaper, really passionate about that + some other stuff)

my grandfather went to michigan and later taught engineering, my grandmother worked for the university for forty years and when she died a scholarship fund for university workers was created in her name

i love love love michigan and i'm applying EA as soon as I feel confident that my essays are good.

i know i have a chance but how good of a chance do you think? i'm sorry for this because i know everyone hates chance threads but i just......idk
