Chance me dude!

Hello! So, here I am:

SATI (superscored): 2280 (770 M, 720 CR, 790 W)
SATII: Chem 770, Math II 720 (retaking in november & hoping for a 750+)
GPA: 3.7-ish unweighted, will get my next report card in a few weeks. It seems so low because of my freshman year grades- without them it would be around a 3.85, and my progression is a strong upward trend.
Junior AP’s: Lang&Comp(4), Chem (3-I know this is bad but i can explain it in interviews and have an excuse)
Senior AP’s: Physics I, Calculus BC, U.S Gov, Literature
EC’s:
Varsity ski team all 4 years, captain senior year
Another ski team outside of school up until junior year, and I’m going to have a job as an instructor at the same mountain during the winter of senior year. (I got a ski education scholarship during my sophomore year, because of my dedication to ski racing)
Newspaper 11,12, Athletics editor senior year
Robotics 11,12
Debate team 10,11,12
Girl Rising committee 10 (we organized a showing of Girl rising (the documentary) to our entire school and gave speeches to freshmen about girl’s education in other parts of the world)
President & Founder of Documentary Club senior year
NHS
Scholars program at my high school 9, 10, 11, 12
National Merit Scholarship Commendation
Summer Softball 9,10,11,12
Quiz Bowl team 11,12
Currently trying to get my school to have a chapter of the Science NHS, but we are still in the process.
Volunteering:
elders services 10, soup kitchen 11, school for the mentally disabled 11, counselor at a summer camp the summer before junior year, service trip to India summer before senior year.

(I go into my EC’s and volunteer work a lot more in-depth on my actual application- If you need me to explain anything/elaborate, feel free to ask)

My common app essay is about turning my stubbornness into determination and perseverance, and is coming along pretty well (but it’s not done yet. Both of my Nov. 1st deadlines weren’t on the common app)

Pretty sure my recs are fantastic- I picked teachers that like me and are familiar with me as a student, and my guidance counselor knows me really well.

I’m definitely applying to MIT, Brown, UVA, Umass amherst, BU, Upenn, Princeton, U Michigan, UFL, Carnegie mellon, and Mcgill as a physics major. I might also apply to University of Rochester, RPI, University of British Columbia, George Washington, or Stanford, but those aren’t definite.

I go to a relatively small all-girls catholic school, and a lot of girls here get into Georgetown, BC, Notre Dame, and other catholic/jesuit schools. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for other non-religious good schools. Its possible that i’m the only one from my school applying to some of the ones I am (however, I know one of my best friends is also applying to MIT- she has a better GPA than me, but my standardized tests are better than hers and I have more EC’s. Also, there are twin sisters who are both applying ED to Penn (Wharton) and they have fantastic GPA’s, but i don’t really know what their SAT’s are- but i’m guessing somewhere between 1900-2100.)

Plus, feel free to give me any suggestions on what schools i’m applying to and whatnot. Also, be honest- I can take it!

OKAY why isn’t anyone replying? is it because of the weird title? I’m starting to regret calling this thread “Chance me dude!”

Uh…well…why do you feel so entitled to an answer just half an hour after posting…loads of posts here go hardly touched for days. Unless it’s supposed to be a joke…you look like a strong applicant except for your GPA.

retaking math II will be an extremely risky move cuz if you don’t retake it, they still know you’re awesome at math, but if you do and get about the same…that’s not gonna reflect well. But… awesome candidate  stay fabulous and don’t compare yourself
