I am currently a high school Junior and am going to be applying to the schools mentioned above and was wondering what my chances were of getting into the schools mentioned above.

SAT: 2120
GPA: 4.228 W 3.93UW will be near a 4.6 senior year

Class Rank: 5 out 510

Junior Classes: IB Econ SL, IB comp sci SL, IB Math HL, IB Chem HL , IB History HL, IB English HL, IB spanish 5 SL

Senior Classes: IB Math HL 2, IB chem HL 2, IB Comp Sci HL, IB History HL 2, IB English HL 2, IB TOK, IB Env Systmems Sl

AP Classes: Stats(4)

EC’s: Boys Varsity Lacrosse (9-11), Boys Ultimate Frisbee Club (President), Math Club, Chem Club(VP), MUN (secretary),Key Club, Debate Club(secretary), International Club (Historian), NHS, Youth Salute, 200+ hours in retirement home, 300+ hours in Hospital Volunteering, Computer Science TA for a program that taught to little kids, chemistry tutor, Co-Ceo of a Business that donates money to an Alzheimer Research Facility ( Raised $200 last year)

GPA is low because I have gotten a B in spanish since freshmen year but needed spanish for the IB diploma

Try to bring up your SAT score. The rest looks good!

Your Sat score is fine for all of those schools. Actually, everything is fine for all of those schools. All you can do is keep doing what you’re doing and acknowledge the fact that it’s a crapshoot.

Another Pakistani boy doing IB? Oh this is too good to be true :slight_smile: Your school stats are awesome, but try to bring up the SAT a bit. Also, do you live in Virginia? If you do, UVA will be a match/low match, Duke is a high match/low reach, JHU is a high match. My gut feeling is that you make two out of three. If you are not in VA, then UVA is a high match. How good is your lax? Did you contact any of the coaches?

Oh a fellow IB student! Hello! Your SAT would be safer at 2200 but I think it’s alright considering everything else. I think you’re a likely candidate for all of these schools :slight_smile:

I think all the schools listed are reaches, honestly, but they’re reaches for everyone. I would bring the SAT up to maximize your chances.
