Please chance me for Ga Tech, as I am new to this. I moved from Bangladesh in October of Junior year. I am applying for Computer Science.
(a)My SAT superscore is 1450 (M:790 E:660) and I’m out of state
(b)My weighted is a 4.15
©I also have done an internship at a software company
(d)Did lot of volunteering back at home for the community and achieved the highest GPA.
(e) Won a hackathon also
However, I didn’t include any clubs from my American High School, as I was unaware about its weight and it also took me time to adjust. I also have got a bit of autism (just to let u know). Do you think I stand a chance of admission? Thx
What’s your unweighted GPA?
Any insights on what my chances are?
Your stats are very similar to my daughter’s (1410 SAT). I’ve told my daughter that it’s a reach for her, since GT’s out-of-state acceptance rate is only 18% (it will probably be less this year). SAT scores are in the mid range for the class as a whole, so you can expect the range for out-of-state to be quite a bit higher.
Your scores are right about average for Ga Tech, according to the prepscholar website. That puts you in the 33% chance range for getting in. Ga Tech is always a reach school no matter how good your grades are. Make sure you add some safety schools to your college list.
what they said, its a Reach.
