<p>Overall GPA is 3.62 unweighted. However, it includes several arts classes from daughter’s junior year at a residential arts high school. GPA before junior year was around 3.8. There are lots of arts classes and some are 1.5 credits. Art school is very well known and highly selective. Most kids get As in arts classes only when they have reached near mastery in senior year. So lots of Bs in arts classes pulled down GPA. Will more emphasis be placed on core academic classes, which are mostly As?</p>
