Applying ED 1 this fall
Interest: I am on the schools mailing list, have contacted my GW rep, and will be touring in March.

I think you have a really good chance! I was accepted for next year’s admissions through ED II and my credentials were lower than yours haha

Hey, I noticed that you’re in the Naples area (Naples Equal Opportunity Society) and wanted to let you know that the Naples Council on World Affairs provides scholarships for students that are juniors or older to travel abroad, and since you’re interested in Middle Eastern Studies, maybe this could be a fit for you!

I missed the deadline, but thank you!! I wish I would’ve found that a few weeks ago :frowning:

UPDATE: ACT scores came out and I got a 32
English: 34
Math: 30
Reading: 33
Science: 32

What are you doing in Morocco/Jordan this summer? You listed it as an EC so I’m curious if it’s volunteer work.

Congrats on the new ACT score- that’s an excellent score.

With your stats, I’d be incredibly surprised if you did not get into GW. By no means “coast” from here on out, though. I’d make sure you put some more time into community service this summer (if that’s not what you’re doing on your trip) and and don’t slack off in classes in the fall (hard to imagine with them all being AP, lol).

@NHuffer If selected, I’d be studying Arabic. Classes are Monday-Friday about 4 hours a day with 2 hours of homework/studying for 6-8 weeks, so it’s an intensive language learning. And a couple of the AP’s are pretty easy because the teachers are quite laidback, I’d never take that many if the teachers were strict and work-heavy, haha.

Sounds like a very productive summer! Keep that drive throughout school- it will suit you very well.
