would i have a shot if i did ED to brown? my gpa isn't the highest, i could have taken slightly higher classes, and I'm at a competitive high school, so i don't know how much that damages me. i live in an area that would allow me to have an interview. i could ED some other good college where i knew i could get in, like northwestern... but brown is my dream school. i also have triple legacy at university of michigan and my dad works there so i don't know if i can consider that a safety or not but should i just shoot for the stars and go there if it doesn't work? WHAT DO!!

When it comes to Brown you should remember this about the University, this is a message they clearly want to convey based on their curriculum (or lack of it) and their history. Brown wants very independent students who if you leave them on their own can achieve great things, the thing I am going to recomend you since you clearly show to be a great writer is that in your essays and in someway in your application you be able to show that you have an open mind yet know what you want. Remember that Brown is famous because students are free to choose their own curriculum and have many options in double majoring and career choices. Be able to manifest in your short answers and essays that you will clearly be productive when you are not being watch, somehow show that you will able to deal with the great liberty that the university offers and make the best out of it. Show some creativity also but at the same time sound confident and professional and most importantly scholarly.
