will chance back :frowning: anyone?

ignore the harverd ■■■■■, your stats look great! what did you get out of 2400 on the SAT? is your school competitive?
either way, you have strong grades and good ECs and being a minority-combined with being first generation college-will really help you out. ivies are a reach for everyone, but you look like a strong candidate.

Your academics and extra-curricular look great. You would be a great canidate for Cornell ED. Try to get an interview, and work really hard on your essay.

Being URM matters a lot. You have pretty good test scores-bringing it up a bit would help-but I think you are probably a match for Cornell.

I think you have a fantastic shot at being accepted, especially ED. Your URM status will help a lot, and give you that extra hook. Good luck!

Thanks everyone :)

I got a 1940 out of 2400 but Cornell does not even glance at writing i heard. My school is not super competitive but it definitely is competitive.

Very nice GPA, ECs, SATs, etc etc.

I think you have a very good chance of getting into Cornell ED. Ivies can be very unpredictable and very random, but I think it’s likely you’ll get in. Best of luck to you…

Question: My current employer was a professor at princeton… if he writes me a solid recommendation will that help me get into cornell or is it irrelevant because its from a princeton professor…

bump quadruple post

Your Sat Scores are a bit low but i think your GPA and extracurriculars balance that out. The fact that you’re African american helps too.

You look like a pretty good shot for ED Cornell.

problem: my parents were born in northern africa and evidently just because im not very dark skinned I can’t check black on college app’s. (according to another CC post) so… idk

The fact that your a URM greatly helps.
Your rigor is top notch as well.
Your SAT is middle of the pack, which is absolutely fine considring your other stats, and minority status.

Id say perfect match

Your score score could be a little low. Your GPA is great. I think it helps some to be. URM and first generation. You have good stats, at this point it is up to your essays and teacher recommendations. Good luck :)

retake your SATs or take the ACT, which would be my recommendation b/c it is SOOOOOO easy. even if you don’t i still think that you’ll get in ED. good luck!
