What should I do? Which are my reaches? Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated!
I know AEM is a reach, but I really love the program in that it has a focus on sciences as well & I am not interested in law (ILR), but AEM has such a small admissions percentage that makes me wary.
ILR is not automatic; it has a 13.8% acceptance rate as of this year. I can’t find the pdf, but it has a breakdown of each college’s acceptance rates. Unfortunately, there’s is a great deal of wrong information about ILR that leads people on this site to falsely assume it’s considerably easier to gain admission to than the others. For the other schools, I think you’re a great candidate for all of them.
No of course you should consider AEM. I am saying that the difference between acceptance into ILR and AEM is negligible, even if AEM might be slightly more competitive. Also ILR isn’t just for law, you can pursue business-related careers as well government.
@CT1417 I have. ILR has a lot of law based classes & AEM has more business related classes. I love the AEM program, but I’m worried that I don’t have much of a chance.
