Your SAT score is below average for the “Asian international” demographic, and your GPA is rather low. The upwards trend is good, but a 3.6 overall is still not generally competitive at these schools.

I would suggest taking an SAT II other than Chinese - colleges aren’t generally impressed with an 800 in your native language.

As for your school’s tuition, it means precisely nothing to universities. I go to an international school with tuition in the vicinity of $40,000 (parents’ employer contribution is the only reason my family can afford it), and we have more than our share of underqualified teachers, amateurish administrators, and students whose plans for the future hinge on their becoming world-famous rappers, professional football players, or even (in two or three cases) drug dealers.

The good news is that not applying for FA helps your chances, and your success in badminton will show NU that you’re capable of persevering in pursuit of a goal. Just don’t get your hopes up, because the international applicant pool is cutthroat.
