Chance me ED please?

I have bad extracurriculars but good stats, and the lady who came to our school for the college visit said that Northwestern weights the numbers more so my fingers are crossed for that to be true. That doesn't keep me from worrying, though :( There's a lot of people (30 or so) applying ED to NU this year, and typically our school takes 12-17 from the 60-70 total that apply each year (majority are taken ED).

Thanks so much!

You’re perfectly fine for EC actually, grades are wonderful as you said. So I honestly don’t think you have much to be scared for. Perhaps being Asian and having a large number of students applying to NU from your school might hurt a little, but generally you’re a reasonably competitive student!

I’m applying to NU ED too…let’s see how it turns out for both of us! Chance me back?

You are a pretty strong candidate. Good Luck!

@alafae‌ thank you! I chanced back.

bump 10char

I’m super jealous of your SAT scores!! I think you have a great chance, but with schools like NU it’s always difficult to know. If your essay is strong and recommendations are good I think you’re in. Good luck!

Yea, any reason why ECs were only done in 9-10 grade? I think that really hurts, but your scores give u a good shot regardless
