Chance me ED to Cornell,Georgetown any match/safety?

Please delete/ignore the previous thread.I am not sure which colleges to apply so I thought it'd be a good idea to ask the experienced CC members my Safeties/Target matches/Reaches. I think I'll apply to 10-11 colleges and ED to Cornell. I'll also be applying through Questbridge as we earn $7k a year so I'll basically need a full ride.{ EFC 0 }

I am US citizen living in India.
• Ethnicity- Asian

• GPA= 82.3% (it is considered a very good score on the Indian system considering 1.5 million students sit for the exams and the country topper had a 97.4% + my school is the most competitive in Punjab, that being said, it raises the cut off bar each year) so I think I could justify my score here.

• Rank= 14/71 students (I've been told rank doesn't matter for international schools,true?)

• ACT - Composite 33 and Eng/Math/Reading/Science- (32,35,31,32)
•SAT Subject Tests-Chemistry-{690}, Physics- {730} , Math Level 1- {780} ,Math Level 2- {760}
thinking of taking French w/o listening = expect something around (640-650)

• Course Load = Quite a tough curriculum with the maximum course load. Besides that, I self studied all the APs I took.I am an AP Scholar with Honor.
AP Chemistry-{3}
AP Calculus-{3}
AP Mechanics-{4}
AP E&M -{5}
AP Scholar with Honor.

RESEARCH-
(Because I'm taking a gap year I did a lot of research in the Renewable resources and the Solar industry) my 'to be major' also.

•Increased shelf life of milk to 9 months with an extensive research project.

•Made a Solar dryer[fully working]. In India, we dry the raisins open and 35% of it is damaged as they're eaten by birds and other reasons so this is a solution.

I feel like I've written everything I've done so far in my life and yes, this is just about it.
I feel that my research is going to be my strong and differentiating factor in the admissions.

And if you guys want a chance back, I'll be more than glad to do that !
Thanks a ton to read till the last!

WAITING IN ANTICIPATION !!
PS: Post your links for a CHANCE BACKK :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D

Bump For a Chance.!!! :slight_smile: :)

If anybody could chance me,yeah, That’d be great :(

Am I worthy of some good schools guys?
Waiting in anticipation!!!

Yes you are worthy of top tier universities. I would recommend applying early to one of those schools that is your dream school to further ensure your admission. But your stats and ECs are stellar!

Stop bumping your thread please.

I honestly don’t think you have any chance at applying to Cornell based on your low GPA and low AP scores.

@Crstalsng - Thanks for your input :slight_smile: I honestly am really scared for Cornell :slight_smile: Yes I’ll ED to Cornell

@Ironfist - I admit I have low AP scores but I can definitely justify my GPA.
Anyways… where do yo think I have a chance at?

What colleges are suitable for me Guys?

bump 10 char

Come on guys so many views+ and and just 2 responses.

You’ll get a cookie , I promise !! :slight_smile: :D

Georgetown - high match to low reach
Cornell - low reach

I’d suggest Berkeley, NYU, USC, Boston College for schools you could probably get into.

Thank you! I won’t consider applying to Berkeley as I can’t afford it :(

You should seriously consider Boston College and Brown as they both meet full need aid like Cornell and GTown.

Okie dokie !! Yes! (quickly goes and adds Boston to his list).
@Teen TY

You shouldn’t add a college to your list just because someone else recommends it. You have to actually research the college and consider if it is a fit for you.

Additionally the reason you have so many views but no comments is because you keep bumping your thread.

And another reason you might not be receiving responses is that not everyone is familiar with the international application process, as you are currently residing outside of the US.
