Without knowing your nationality, location, class ranking, legacy status, etc., I would say you look pretty good and have a better than 50% shot at ED as long as your essays and teacher recs are excellent. How was your “why Hopkins” essay? Have you visited the campus or spent time in a summer program?

(update!!)
I am Chinese and am an US citizen, I go to a large public school in Washington, and am rank 30/500 so not quite top 5% but almost.
I have no legacy status
I visited the campus this past July and have also introduced myself to the regional representative for the pacific northwest
No summer programs
Not applying for financial aid.

I am from Washington too and attend a larger public school north of Seattle in the Wesco district. I think showing demonstrated interest by visiting the campus and meeting with the regional WA representative helps a little bit. BTW, was the rep from JHU Ms. Clark? I met Ms. Clark at Kings’ High School in early summer.

Did you indicatie a major in your application?

  1. Biology
  2. History
