I think you have a very good chance of getting into any college you want. You have very good grades. I however do not understand why you would not send your 700 SAT II in Biology, because that’s a very good score. If you are truly unsure of your chances of getting into these colleges, look at the admissions stats on their websites.

Thanks a lot! I’m not planning on sending the 700 Bio because I think I can do way better on the other subject tests I’m taking this year. and I’ve looked at the admission stats on some colleges, but I’m fairly worried about my ECs - I don’t think I stand out very much…

shameless self-bump…

a very good shot, I’d say no worse than 50-50 (and maybe a bit better) if you apply E.D.

Having a brother already at Williams certainly will help a bit. Your grades and test scores are top-tier. Being an Asian-American won’t hurt you at Williams the way it would at some peer institutions. I think your EC’s are better than you think. I’d focus a lot in your application materials on all the science research you’ve done, keep purusing that type of research into your senior year as well. Williams highly values students with a consistent, demonstrated interest in independent research like that (the intellectual vitality tag as they call it), and you have a record of success to boot.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Judging by your name, I assume you’re affiliated with / an alum of Williams, and I’m really grateful to hear from someone who really knows the school. I’ll be sure to focus a lot on my science research - I am continuing this summer as well - and work hard for Intel, Siemens, etc next year!
