30/330 is top ten percent… yeah and i am going to retake the SAT’s, any suggestions for “doing something really well in a weird area” like examples…

These comments are all for U Penn, which is pretty selective from what i hear
Ok, Im going to be a bit harsh, but your stats are horrible no offence Unless you are a national/international athlete or something your app is going in the bin no questions asked. Get it to 2200-2250+ and you’ll pass that obstacle
Next, ECs. You need to strengthen them, join a couple of clubs for 2-3 years and enter competitions. Try to get a hook for application, so sports, or maths (probably very common) or ancient languages (which is what i’m trying to show). Not neccessary but it becomes easier to elaborate on that in essays and interview but PICK SOMETHING YOU LOVE or at least like!
Just try get the illusive hook but if not don’t fret, broaden your ECs but make sure they are all deep, don’t join 100 clubs for 1 week. They can see what you are doing!

ED should help, i think in terms of numbers acceptance is 5-10% higher? Don’t quote me on that But if U Penn is your dream, ED it

Anyway, dont worry if you dont get it, there are lots of other great unis that would love to have you!
