These were the toughest available courses for my schedule; I go to a very small private school in SC of about 300 kids. My school is pretty weak, but on par for others in my area. There are only 32 students in my graduating class, and I will be in the top 3 if not Valedictorian.

Please chance me ED! Thanks!

When are you retaking the SAT/ACT?

I think your chances are decent, but the fact that you’re getting basically all A+s in your courses yet your test scores aren’t so good might suggest that your school is not very rigorous and might be a concern to admissions. Don’t take this personally, but it seems very odd that you received an A+ in Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, and College Math (and an A in pre-calculus) yet you’re only scoring a 680 on the Math SAT. And a 700 on the Math SAT II (which indicates MANY incorrect responses unlike SAT I where the math scores are very harsh for just a few mistakes). If you’re actually learning Calculus/college math at that high of a level, then SAT/SAT II/ACT math should be ridiculously easy for you honestly. This suggests that the material taught at your school is somehow incredibly basic (although I don’t know how they could make calculus/algebra/etc. that basic). Same goes for English (620 CR), but that is a bit more understandable since it’s not straight up math and the material can vary. If you can improve your test scores, your chances would improve considerably. And a cousin doesn’t count for legacy status. But your in school accomplishments and ECs are quite impressive for a 15-year old. Good luck!

Ya your test scores do make your grades a bit strange, like your school is easy, but maybe it’s not. Anyway, Duke will probably know how good it is so retake them if you have time.

Sometimes people get great grades but just aren’t great standardized test takers. But the lack of AP classes/low test scores is not a good indicator that you will, or will not, be able to handle the college classes? Hmmm…it just looks a bit wierd as a whole picture. But you are 15 so that is impressive. Good luck! :)

Personally I don’t think it is a good idea going to college at this age unless you have stronge desire. I can tell you are very talented/smart. Why don’t you wait one more yr and take more a/p course and retake your SAT/ACT next yr? I am sure you will improve a lot. With a solid High school study, you will have better chance doing great in colleges. Good luck!
