Chance me Emory ED1

hi, I’m just really nervous because ED comes out in like two days. Anything would help!!

Major: I said my interest was dual engineering with GT (I already know about the pros/cons) so honestly not too sure
Recs: I didn’t get A’s in either of my teachers classes but I think both my teachers really liked me because I came in to see them a lot (developed good relationships) 9/10
Essays: my common app essay I would say is a 9/10, I wrote about a really personal topic of my struggle with science and religion
Supps: these were alright (8.5-9/10)

national chinese honor society, national speech and debate degree of merit, national speech and debate degree of honor

Activities

Co-president of women in Stem club at my school–worked with girl scout, underfunded schools to help teach science to younger kids as well as encouraging girls in my school to get involved in stem.
Lincoln-Douglas debate— went to state 2 years in a row (placed 9th and 11th), competed in a bunch of tournaments (wrote one of supps about debate and how it is made me more open-minded
Volunteer at a hospital-50+hours
worked at a local farmers market during the summer
volunteered at a local organization that dealt with increasing book ownership among at-risk children
Chinese culture club
out of the box club-brought in guest speakers that encouraged embracement of different cultures

*idk if this is super important but I know of about 5 other kids in my school who also EDed as well.

also I know this school is big reach for me so fingers crossed

Wait until Wednesday. No one here can tell you what your chances are. Good luck!

Agree with CollegeMom and nothing anyone can tell you now should make you feel better or worse. The chancing threads, in my opinion, are the worst element of College Confidential. You can use a scattergram and chance yourself better than a stranger can.

I have very similar stats and wrote my essay about something very similar and I’m applying ED this year… did you get in???
