State?

Summer activities (CTY, summer jobs, etc.)?

Ethnicity, income bracket, and first-gen student status?

Tulane is a low match but definitely show interest or they will pass over you really quick. Uchicago is a high reach. Umichigan a match/high match. UNC match/high match. I dont know about UCBerkeley. Emory is most likely a High match. Only thing I am worried about is ACT score but since your GPA is strong I think you have pretty good chances. High chance of getting into tulane. good chance at michigan. 50/50 w/ UNC and Emory. Small chance at Uchicago.

@jlopez98, while you are correct that Tulane has rejected many uber-qualified candidates based on fit or interest, you are not correct that it is a low match for the OP from a statistical perspective. The median ACT is 30-33 (I believe slightly above that of Michigan.), so the candidate is right smack in the middle of the pool. The GPS is also toward the median. Only 25% of applicants have been accepted thus far. I would therefore hesitate to say that the OP has a “high chance” at Tulane or any of the other schools listed. Conversely, she has a good shot at all accept perhaps Chicago and UC Berkeley. She just has to figure out where she really wants to go and then show a lot of interest and fit.

If you are a NC resident UNC is likely. If you are out of state then it will be a reach.

Need to know home state and intended major. For UMich, it would be ranged from high match (in state LSA) to mid reach (OOS CoE).
