Chance me @:

University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign > Engineering (Comp Sci)

Purdue University - West Lafayette > Engineering (Comp Sci)

Illinois Institute of Technology > Engineering (Comp Sci)

University of Wisconsin > Engineering (Comp Sci)

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor > Engineering (Comp Sci)

Northwestern University > Engineering (Comp Sci)

Hey! You have a solid resume- the only thing I would say is to have some ECs that are close to comp engineering. Good luck!

IIT as in Indian Institute of Technology or Illinois Institute of Technology? If you mean the latter, I think you have good chances of being accepted to all the universities you applied to.

I meant it as in Illinois Institute of Technology

Bump!

University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign > LOW REACH

Purdue University - West Lafayette > MATCH

Illinois Institute of Technology > LOW MATCH

University of Wisconsin > MATCH

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor > HIGH MATCH

Northwestern University > LOW REACH

@jackjack48
In that case, I think you can reasonably expect admission from all the universities you have applied to except maybe Northwestern University - to which you still have a good chance.

First of all, as a junior and not having your first test score by now is a bit behind.
UIUC as in state should be a match to high match for you. Your projected ACT score is below their admission average for CSE (mid 50 at 31-34) and your GPA too.
For UMich, it is pretty much the same as the admission stat for CoE is very similar to UIUC. However, UMich put more emphasize on GPA. Your uwGPA at 3.8 is below average and being oos further weaken your chance. So it is a low reach for you.
For Northwestern, it is a reach for you for now. If you can raise your GPA to 3.9+ and ACT by 2+ points, you will have a better chance.
For Purdue, it may be a match. To get into Purdue is not that difficult but they do have a high drop out rate after freshmen.

What kind of a person knows the drop out rate of a university after freshmen year? You must have a lot of experience…

^ You just need to read the post at Purdue’s subforum. My D applied and accepted to Purdue although she declined the admision offer. I did follow that subforum for over a year.

Welllll…you took normal Chemistry so you might not get in :(

@downforcollege‌ How could one class possibly make or break it?

You’re a minority? What is your race?

You should have no problem being admitted to IIT.

Northwestern - High Reach
low ACT, out of 10%

You seem like you’ve got thing under control, If i were you, i’d just make sure essays are strong - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1639715-chances-for-stanford-rea-will-chance-back.html#latest</a> chance me please?

^Generic

Most of the advice given here is generic. In my few days here, I have read numerous threads of people with good statistics, lacking extracurricular activities and asking for their chances to top schools.

@wannabefaster What do you consider a “lack of ECs”? Out of curiosity, that is.

@mlolo98 I’m arab. Will it make any impact?
