No offense, but your list looks very sparse. Maybe you just didn’t put everything on post, but your APs are quite weak (maybe your school offers <5, I don’t know). Your ECs are good, but list some honors/awards. No sports? No job? No research? No internships?

I am really not trying to shoot you down here, but maybe you just need to revise your post to include a bit more info, ya know?

I will chance you when you eitehr update post or tell me this is all you have.

In the meanwhile, please chance me. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1672492-chances-at-cornell-ed-columbia-ed-mit.html#latest

UMich looks more than perfect for you. I might be bias, but UMich is just the exception.

For a job I caddy three time a week during the summer.
For volunteer work I have ~200 hours.
I don’t have any internships or research.
Awards I have is a state medal in mathletes and three regional awards in science olympiad. For golf I have placed well in a couple of local tournaments.
As for APs at my school you can’t take them until junior year. Next year I am taking four -Physics C, Chem, Govt, and Bc calc
My class rank is 3/487

Great. Exactly what was needed Signific.
Fact you play golf + caddy = good!
Volunteer work 200 hrs is great!
Your awards are stellar, that really puts you above many people that have just listed Mathletes for four years instead of winning any awards.
And aha there it is. not being able to take APs till junior yr…yeah thats a bummer, but as long as colleges know that, ur in greta shape.
Class rank is great. Try to get salu if possible (if not 2 behind) will boost app to whole new level.

UMich UCLAA are high match, low reach
Cornell, Penn are mid reach (but they are for everyone, unless u’ve cured cancer or something like that :P)

Please chance back.

Cornell, UCLA, UCB, UIUC, and UMich engineering are all in a similar range for admission stat. They are all highly competitive particularly for oos students.
UIUC and UMich would be high match to low reach, others would be low reach.

Unless you are hiding some stellar extracurricular, this is my opinion:

Accepted:
Cornell
UIUC
U Mich
UCLA

Waitlist:
Penn

Reject:
Cal (you will make CS in College of LNS, very tiny chance of making engineering)
