Wow… I’m impressed. I think you should get into Uchicago easily without much trouble and it seems like you’re in especially with those hooks. Keep up the good work! The others seem like reaches to me, but you may get in. Who knows!

^@OP, seriously, bumping after 166 replies!!!
Come on if you don’t know your chances by now, your a pretty big idiot. Or, the more likely scenario, you want people to feed your expanding ego.

^^I apologize, but it’s not for ego boost as much as calming my nerves. Trust me, hearing that schools are “reaches” is not an ego boost. It calms my nerves and people get chanced back; I see no harm in that.

Uchicago- Fairly good chances, if your essays are as I good as you claim.
Northwestern- High chances
Vanderbilt (EDII, if I don’t get into Brown)- Very high chances
Brown (ED)- You’ve applied ED, so yeah, you have good chances
UPenn- Hmm… I’d say a little toward low
Stanford- IDK, I’d ask you not to keep high hopes.

Also, chance me, please - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1043767-chance-me-pl0x.html

@ronnghosh-Thanks for chance

The Ivies are reaches for everyone, but I think you have a great shot at Brown for ED. As for UChicago, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt, I think they’re all matches.
Chance me back!

I would say that you have a pretty good chance in all of these if you get the predicted marks in junior year…
Gd luck :)

May I ask what %age you are Native American?

And I think low reach/very high match for Brown, not too sure @ anything else

1/4 Native; I hope brown is a “very high match”!

First off, why are you hijacking my thread?
you are a reach to Columbia. chance me back.

Im not hijacking anything? and can u like detailed chance me?
As for you, you have the scores and the gpa so I wouldnt worry about that, they are looking at those scores as simply an indication of whether or not you will be capable of the work. And you clearly are. your community service is impressive and as far as the general statistics go, you sound like a really good match.
The only thing I can say without knowing you personally is that you want to make sure you were invested in your ec’s and community service and you didnt just do them to get into college. Make sure your dedication/passion comes across in your application and if you can show that you are intellectually curious but still are interested in things outside of the classroom, I think you have a great chance.

oh and try not to sound too full of yourself. thats a definite downer. my friend was really qualified just like you and they said that she sounded like someone who thought too well of herself.
Im sure your fine. im just giving u all the tips i know…

Alright, thanks. Your test scores are low, but it’s impressive that you have been doing professional ballet etc. The low test scores are going to hurt you as Columbia is highly selective. Good luck though!

My ECs: I’m invested in running and am probably going to run at Brown as a walk-on. I did not do my EC activities for college.

I think your chances for Northwestern, UChicago, and Vanderbuilt are pretty good
but from what I’ve heard, Brown Upenn and Stanford are pretty random! with your stats I personally think you should make it to the schools you’re applying!
I think your strong points are your ecs and your hook(native american!)

You have a really unusual app, I think. Being a junior might be a negative thing for you though, but you never know. I think you have a really good chance in the outside Ivy’s but the Ivy’s might be a little bit harder with your gpa. Either way, I hope you get into wherever you want to go! :D

Thanks for the chance hopeful. Most colleges, excluding northwestern, said that my 3-year graduation does not affect my chances of being accepted as long as I have enough academic classes and rigor.

Decent chances at all schools, just remember that they are extremely hard to get into, you should consider at least one safety school. Your sat score is phenomenal, good work!
