Hey all, I am a cs transfer applicant for UW Madison, CMU, Georgia Tech, and USC.
High school stats:
3.92 weighted GPA at a pretty high ranked public school
APCS-5
AP Calc BC-5
AP bio-4
AP Macroecon-4
AP Gov-4
SAT: 1470 (800 math, 670 English)
High school ec’s:
4 year athlete for 2 sports, 2 year athlete for one
officer in schools coding club and volunteer club
2 community service trips to Mexico over the summer
2 years of paid private math and science tutoring
College stats:
First semester: 16 units, 4.0 gpa, 2 cs courses, calc 2, freshman English
Second semester: 18 units, bio, chem, calc 3, progression of English
(currently have a 4.0 and shouldn’t be an issue to maintain)
College ec’s:
Webmaster (in charge of website) for honors society
taught programming course to middle schoolers from impoverished neighborhood
Grew tutoring business to 6 clients, making ~4k
Coached high school jv lacrosse (szn got cut short due to pandemic)
I am mainly worried because I can’t find any statistics for sophomore level transfer students so I’m assume that they are uncommon.
