Essays:
-UCs were good, talked about service at dog adoptions, innovating gamers club, overcoming poor social skills and social anxiety through improv and theatre, expressing creativity through baking,
-Common App is ok, feels a bit weak, it’s about how I used gaming as a common interest to help immerse myself in my high school community since i was struggling socially.

just feeling kinda nervous about the whole situation since my stats feel lower than what everyone on the site says theirs are

UCB / UCLA - Reach (Reach for all applicants // Fairly low GPA)
CPSLO - Low Reach (One of the lowest acceptance rates for engineering)
UCSD - High Match (Test scores are good, but Engineering is a capped major)
UCI - Low Match (I predict an acceptance)
CPP - Safety (You are well above the average)

Good luck. I cannot chance you for the other schools, but I am sure you’ll have many schools to choose from come May 1st.

do you mean that engineering has lowest acceptance rate or that materials science has lowest within engineering?

yay I got accepted to CPP for mechanical engineering

now I have a good local fallback

also adding harvard to my list just for the kicks, maybe I can frame a nice rejection letter somewhere

UCB/UCLA: High Match-Low Reach
SLO/UCSD: Match-High Match
UCI: Match
CPP: Safety

Good Luck and Congratulations on CPP.

I just got asked for berkely rec letters. Is that good?

Getting a request for LOR’s is definitely a good sign. Make sure you make the most of this great opportunity.

I have a friend that got into MIT with a 35C on ACT but she also had a much higher GPA

I got into SLO for mat engineering

Ayy ucsd for mat eng and likely letter for ucla

In at gatech, uci, ucla, Boston U, and northeastern all for engineering. Rejected at MIT. Never applied to unass angert
