<p>I am going to be a senior and want to do pre-med.
Stats:
GPA: 3.9/4.0 (school says 4.474/4.5)
Rank: 3/408
SAT: 2030 (630 CR, 680 Math, 720 Writing) (i took it early during the junior year and i'm going to take this again since I took it the first time on impulse and did not really have time to study a lot)
I will be taking SAT subjects tests soon (Math II and Biology)
I have taken all honor classes and AP US History, AP Biology, AP English Language and Composition. I have gotten a 5 on the AP US History and AP Bio Exam.
I will be taking AP Lit, AP Physics, AP Cal, and AP Spanish next year. I hope to take the AP Exams for AP Physics and AP Cal.</p>

<p>Extracurricular: Filipino Club, Spanish Honor Society, Math Honor Society (Mu Theta Alpha), volunteering in a hospital, outside of school I played basketball in a league for freshman and sophomore years, volunteered in Red Cross</p>

<p>Here's my final college list after searching/researching:</p>

Rutgers University - New Brunswick
University of Pittsburgh - Main Campus
SUNY Binghamton</p>

<p>Hi! I think your GPA and rank are very good, just make sure those SAT scores are up to par, and I think you will probably get in…good luck!</p>

<p>Choose a few better schools. Even very good schools may give you scholarships, since the criteria for selection of merit aid differs in every college.</p>

I think you live In Pennsylvania, new jersey or somewhere close, judging from your scores here are some schools I would consider if I had them
Apply for early decision (high reach)
• University of Pennsylvania
• Cornell
• Maybe Princeton (they don’t have ed)
• New York university
• Carnegie Mellon University
• Colombia
^^^You don’t have to worry about money. Just get in
“Probably get” in good schools
• Penn state university park -<em>Schreyer Honors College</em> (Google it) :wink:
• University of Maryland- honors college
• Lehigh
• Haverford college (very good college)
Back up schools
• Rutgers university NB
• University of Delaware
• Drexel (free application on line but expensive tuition)

Consider as back up
• Temple university

• University of sciences in Philadelphia

<p>Lol, creacher, thanks for the reply and FYI I have been doing my homework.</p>

<p>NYU - possibilities of “good” financial aid are slim so I am not considering the school.</p>

<p>and yes, I care about money because I don’t want to end up in a huge debt after college because I want to get to medical school.</p>

<p>and yes, Penn State - Schreyer’s Honor’s college is good, I did look that up</p>

<p>and yes, I did use the College Confidential tool and was matched with some of the schools I listed so…</p>

<p>Chances are you will get into all universities with current stats, even though Binghamton is somewhat questionable, because of all the competition to go there. Yeah. Seek more competitive schools, in case you get in.</p>

I will apply to Temple and see what happens. Hopefully, I get the full ride or a high scholarship. I am from New Jersey so I don’t know if out-of-state status will affect my chances.</p>

<p>You should definitely get at least $10K per year. Are you going to retake the SATs? Obviously, if you increase your score, you can only help your chances at a full ride.</p>

<p>For the school’s below, do you plan on applying for their guaranteed medical programs? If not, you should definitely do so. In fact, TCNJ doesn’t even require any extra essays. The application would be pain free.</p>
