<p>Hello hello,</p>

<p>I've already applied to half my schools so I'm not overly fussed about chances. </p>

<p>~~What I'd really like to know is how likely a good financial aid package is at some of the match schools. ~~~</p>

<p>Any guesswork by y'all would be greatly appreciated since I'm losing a bit of sleep lately.</p>

Female</p>

<p>Tests:</p>

<p>4.15 weighted, 4.00 unweighted
34 ACT
5 AP classes (<-- weakest part of my application. My school offers 12 AP classes.)
Scores: 3, 4, 5, expecting another 4 and 5 this spring in Gov and Lit, respectively.
Taking two subject tests this Saturday: expecting an 800 in Lit and a 600 in Math</p>

<p>Essays: mediocre</p>

<p>Letters of rec: glowing</p>

Member of NHS
worked at Domino's Pizza for 2.5 years
volunteer at a hospital every summer for 3 years
volunteer at church every weekend (instrumentalist)
volunteer for local Obama campaign
graduating with six letters: academia, orchestra, choir, speech, drama, and service.</p>

Match: UIowa, UOregon, Washington State

<p>and I might add Vanderbilt to this list but I haven't really decided yet. meh.</p>

<p>overachievers? please. My best friend is taking 11/12 AP classes and got a 2400 SAT. I assure you that I sit on my butt and watch Scrubs instead of sparknotes just like a normal person.</p>

<p>I know how you feel. Who wouldn’t rather watch Scrubs than do homework? I know I wouldn’t, which is part of the reason my gpa is so low. Anyway, you will probably get nice packages from the state schools, I don’t know about the reaches though.</p>

<p>^^ Thanks for the chance. And yes, my reaches aren’t so much reaches as rejections anyway, so fin aid is not as big a deal. You know how they say you should have a “hook” to get into top schools? Well, I’m hookless and learning to cope. <em>channel surfs</em></p>
