Chance me for a bunch of colleges? Somewhat Special Circumstance?

Hooks:
URM, First Gen, raised by a single mother, low income, technically homeless (motel) since 9th

Special Circumstance:
Switched schools from 9th to 10th because financial stuff. That’s also why we’ve been living in a motel (and also blah blah other reasons).I’m also in my schools magnet program as well as my school’s accelerated math program (one semester of precalc and then straight into AP Calc)

Letters of Rec:
Pretty good! Both teachers know me and one will be explaining my school’s magnet program.

Colleges (I know it’s a lot, but it’s free + i’ve started my supps):
Amherst, Boston U, Bowdoin, Brown, Carleton, Colby, Fordham, Hamilton, Kenyon, Macalester, Middlebury, Rice , Swarthmore, USC, Wellesley, Yale, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount University

I think you have a Greta shot for all of those schools. Especially considering you’re circumstances, maybe low reach for Yale, but that’s the case for anyone. Chance me back please. Btw you’re icredible

Sorry for your circumstances and kudos for rising above them. Please be sure to check affordability of each school through the net price calculator.

Make sure you have at least one safety you would be happy to attend, but you are in good shape. Did you apply through Questbridge, Posse or ED?

I can only speak to Wellesley and Middlebury, but your stats are in line for acceptance for both of those.

Yale is still a reach/high reach. Even with your circumstances. Other schools are looking strong however.

@User1555 Thank you. Will do.

@happy1 I definitely will! Thanks.

@preppedparent Ah, no. Unfortunately, I didn’t know those existed until recently. Also, thank you! WOuld you consider Loyola Marymount and UC Santa Barbara to be safeties? Or are those matches?

@txndebater Thank you for responding! That’s reassuring.

@kjake2000 No worries, I know that.

C: !

A safety is > 50% acceptance rate.
