You are a truly outstanding applicant and if you don’t get in REA, then Yale just missed out big time. Your EC’s are amazing. Literally nothing else I can say. Good luck, but you wont need it.

As an applicant, you’re making me nervous haha! This is a very reasonable reach school for you given your stats and ECs.

To all the nervous applicants reading this thread: remember that Yale looks for a very diverse, and not “cookie cutter,” student body.

Nobody can predict if you will or won’t get into Yale and quite frankly it is not worth the time and energy you seem to be spending agonizing. Decisions will be out soon enough. You have accomplished much in HS and as long as you have a solid list that includes reach, match, and safety schools (UT-Austin should be an auto-admit) that appear affordable and that you would be excited to attend then you are in great shape.

To everyone reading this thread, I was deferred, and I agree that the number one thing they look for is diversity. Sucks, because I do have a passion (research) and I really do want to change the world, but whatever.
