Chance me for a few top colleges please

I'm going to apply to Dartmouth, Yale, Harvard, Brown, Cornell, MIT, Stony Brook, and BU.

-Unweighted GPA: ~97/100

-Weighted GPA: ~99.3/100 (Have taken most challenging courses. School does not weight heavily)

-# of AP/IB/honors courses: Biology and American History... Aced both. Will take English Lit, Calc AB, Chem, maybe 1 more

-class rank/size: 1-3/150-200

-SAT/ACT scores -- 2240 (760M&W,720CR)

-SAT II scores: 770 Bio, 780 Math2, 790 American

-ECs -- Class treasurer sophomore to junior year, Spanish club secretary sophomore year, glee club treasurer freshman year on, Quiz Bowl team (most involved, will be president and have been captain.), head editor of school paper. Nhs member. Also play golf and am a member of a few small clubs.

employment: Volunteering at local hospital (~100 hours)

-honors/awards -- 3-5 local academic awards of minor prestige.. Ivy league college book award

White male btw from northeastern school that sends some to ivies each year. I’ll chance back

I can separate it into Ivies and non-Ivies:
Dartmouth-about the same as Yale, albeit a bit less selective (18%)
Yale-very unlikely. Your grades are fine, and your SATs will probably not hamper you, but your ECs are eh. You need to have spectacular stats for Yale. High reach (15%)
Brown-same as Dartmouth
Harvard-same as Yale
Cornell-If you apply Early Decision, you have a pretty decent shot at Cornell. Having a high class rank + SATs + decent ECs + early decision makes it a low reach or a high match.

Non-Ivies:
MIT: You haven’t shown much direct interest in Mathematics through your APs, ECs, or SAT (760 I believe is average for MIT). So a mid to high reach: 40% maybe? Probably lower.
Stony Brook: Definitely a safety or in. 90+%
BU: Definitely in. With merit aid a good possibility (especially if you retake SATs). 90+%

Chance me back?

Ok. my ECs are a little more extensive than I’ve shown here. I just dont want to get too personal. I’m somewhat scattered. I’m going to apply to Williams, too. I’m probably not going to retake the SAT

I think you look like a strong candidate academically, and I agree that your extracurriculars arent great but if you have more than whats listed here…awesome! The ivies are always hard just because there are so many applicants with similar qualifications, but you are certainly in the running! BU and Stonybrook are definite safeties for you!

Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1171216-dartmouth.html</a></p>

Frankly, you have a great rank, SAT’s, and grades, but nothing stands out for schools like MIT, Yale, and Harvard. I’d say you have a decent shot at Cornell and you’re definitely in at BU. Keep up your good work, just try to enter some more competitions. Try doing some research for whatever field you’re looking to go into. Good luck :)

Thank you two so much  Yeah, my ECs are a little more extensive than that so maybe that will help. I’ll have great recs and very good essays

Bumppppppp

Bump again! Lol I’m bored

Your GPA, rank, and scores are good. Your activities and awards are also impressive. Admissions to the Ivy league are finicky and highly unpredictable, but you can do some things to increase your chances of getting accepted to a top tier school. Try to write really great essays and get the best teacher evaluations possible; these things will heighten your chances. Good luck :)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1169076-please-chance-me-ivy-league-stanford-duke.html</a></p>

Admissions to the ives are always a toss up. You have good enough stats to be considered at any ivy, and I would expect several successes!! Bu- you will get some merit aid! Good luck. Chance back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1171011-ap-scores-need-chances-duke-emory-georgetown.html</a></p>

No chance at MIT. Average chances (id est high reaches) at H and Y.
Dartmouth: Reach
Brown: Reach
Cornell: Low Reach

In at Stony Brook and BU.

GPA is good, SAT is ok, SATII are good, Class rank is great

EC’s are average, compared to other applicants to top schools

… ok chances at ivies, good chances at lower top tier schools like cornell (tho cornell is still really good!!)

shoo in at state school

btw… chance me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1172136-chance-top-schools.html</a></p>

Anyone else? I chance back

You’re probably around 25% for the ivy league schools. SAT scores are good. Cornell ED if you really want to go there probably ~65%.
BU definitely in. Agree with JonDrums about the merit aid (i’m looking at the same thing).
If the rest of your ECs are solid, you have an excellent shot at Stony Brook too.
