I am going into my senior year in high school and I am wondering what colleges I have a chance of getting into.

GPA: UW 3.94 W 4.1

I plan to have a total of 10+ AP/Honors courses taken by the end of my high school years.

SAT 1 - 680 MATH 580 BOTH ENGLISH (I am taking classes to improve my english scores and I plan to take the SAT again)

Math II - 690
Biology - 680
Chemistry - 720

AP Chem test - 4
AP Bio test - 4
AP lang test - 2 (as you can see, english is not my strong point)

ECs - CSF 3yrs, Science Olympiad 3 yrs, Tennis 4 yrs, volunteer at a local Boys and Girls Club 2 yrs, various volunteer work for school, I am not in band but I do play the trumpet

I just wanted to know of my chances of getting into UCs and certain private schools such as Pomona. I plan to increase my sat score drastically and I want to go into a pre-med program. Any help is appreciated.

I also forgot to mention that I have also taken 3 years of Spanish. I may not be entirely fluent, but I can engage in a conversation in Spanish well. I am Indian and I do speak my native language well (it was my first language).

Here’s the bad news:
-You’re going to face a lot of competition from other Indian and Asian applicants
-Most likely, your next SAT score will still fall short of 2100 (I’m just being realistic; if you really work your butt off, you can get as high a score as you want!)
-If you aren’t part of band at school or on the tennis team, you’ll need some awards/accolades for those ECs to be worth much to admissions boards
-Your SAT II scores are a little low; take at least one more and shoot for 750+

All that being said, you have a high UW GPA, rigorous course load, and solid ECs.

Considering the information given (assuming you raise your SAT to at least 2000), here are your estimated chances…
-UC Merced: safety
-UC San Fran: safety
-UC Riverside: safety
-UC Irvine: low match
-UC Santa Cruz: low match
-UC Santa Barbara: mid match
-UC San Diego: high match
-UC Davis: high match
-UC LA: mid reach
-UC Berkeley: high reach
-Pomona: high reach

Good luck! :)
